The Armada Pro290 digital underground locator is an excellent tool for locating wires and cables for small, residential jobs. The Pro290 transmitter produces a 33 kHz frequency, and the receiver wand can find wires up to 1,000 ft. from the transmitter, at depths up to 4 ft. underground.
